About
Chacon Creek
CHACON CREEK (Webb County). Chacon Creek rises six miles from Webb in central Webb County (at 27°43' N, 99°22' W) and runs southwest for twenty miles to its mouth on the Rio Grande, on the southern edge of Laredo (at 27°29' N, 99°29' W). In its lower reaches the creek is dammed to form Casa Blanca Lake. The surrounding flat terrain is surfaced by sandy clays that support mesquite, cacti, and grasses.
